Absent's music is woven of the fraying strands at the edge of society. Songs of the love, grief, comraderie, and adventure that can only be found by sidestepping the limits of the game. A multi-instrumentalist with a broad array of influences, she shirks conventional categorization into rigid genres, tempering the raging energy of black metal with traditional appalachain folk, coloring it with the sensibilities of emo.
